On Saturday 15th January 2022 Plesiosaur~ performed a 20 minute set in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk UK. The performance was part of a fantastic experimental noise weekend called, by chance, The Suffolk Noise Alliance Weekender.

A recording of the performance wasn't made on the night, but later a version was recorded to pair with a video projection that was made for the gig.

The video, consisting of a looped walk down a curved hotel corridor, was the inspiration for the piece. After playing with some very literal ideas, the pre-prepared audio for the performance was put together. This was inspired by a well known song about drugs, witchcraft, mind-controlled sex slaves, Satan, demons and human sacrifice. Recorded then time stretched and smeared to just over 20 minutes. The guitar improvisations were played over the audio track, following a time-based graphic score made for the track.

A Song About... is the second of four live studio recordings taken from video streams broadcast between Jan 2021 and April 2022.
